Thursday, October 1st 2009 @ 8:53 pmcategorised: I'M HUNGRY!!!, PinkPolarBear, giggly school girl!, veedeeohsMy absolute favourite foods generally belong to this strange meal called Breakfast, which I don’t usually get to enjoy because well, I adore sleeping in til lunch.
Places that serve breakfast all day delight me, although as of now I am unsure of any brekkie all day places that have good food. Brunch is awesome as well because you get both, and right now my favourite place is Riders Cafe. Their eggs benedict is love! So are their pancakes – I proclaimed that I was never going to eat hotcakes again after having tried their pancakes. Lol.
I also particularly loved the days when Pinkie and I made breakfast together. Scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, waffles and pink milk! The only thing that kills my job is having to wake up 2 hours before I want to eat and travel to his place to make breakfast. Bleh!
And so, what tops my list of breakfast love has got to be homemade breakfast, served in bed. Aww! It’s such a lovely notion, gesture and thought (dream?) because I haven’t had it. OMG WHAAAT?
ANYWAY. Here’s Gordon Ramsey teaching how to make perfect scrambled eggs…
PINKIE!!! *hint*

Saturday, September 12th 2009 @ 9:56 pmcategorised: giggly school girl!, veedeeohsThere have been too many Michael Jackson tributes and covers ever since he passed on, but OMG this is totally worth a mention. Check out this guy’s cover of a medley of MJ songs.
And yes, it’s one guy.
*goosebumps*
You think that was good… WATCH THIS ONE. It’s a cover of Glee’s Don’t Stop Believing (which by the way is at episode 2 now, after an eternity of a break between the first PREVIEW episode months ago and the second ep.. it’s an amazing musical show) and his vocals in this gave me goosebumps la!
His voice makes me melt! Eeeeep.

Friday, June 19th 2009 @ 6:47 pmcategorised: Daffodil Fields!, giggly school girl!, tweedledeeHelloo!! I’m back from the sunny island of Tioman! Just like how Singapore is fricking sunny, so is Tioman. Only, it’s made more manageable with far less humidity levels and sea breeze. Oh, and lots and lots of ice cream!
Am too lazy to update about it, so this is just a quick update to let you know I am back, lest Tania complains once again about the lack of updates. HMPF. Oh ya, Tan.. when is the Hillsong Australia conference typically held? =P
On to geeky squeals – my lovely iPhone, Tweedledee, has been updated to 3.0! YAYNESS! I’m back to original software, baby! (And missing my games and theme…. and super easy swipe to switch between 2G and 3G networks… and the notifier icons I get at the taskbar…) But ohwell, I just felt it was time to switch back mainly because I am sick of my phone crashing and not being able to freely updating my Macbook’s OS updates without having first to check if it will affect my phone/Macbook.
Can I just say that I am positively thrilled that I am now able to go online via the internet tethering???? This basically means I can go online on my Macbook with my phone’s mobile broadband plan!!! Somewhere for my 50gb of data to go to now. HEHE. See, now don’t you regret listening to Singtel give you their promotional bullcrap about the “iPhone” data plans? Sheesh.
This rocks my socks for various reasons! One, I can go online ANYWHERE with my Macbook now, without fretting over the lousy Wireless@SG connections. I can use tethering via the USB cable (which is good because I can charge Tweedledee at the same time) or via bluetooth! I just tried both and they both work – another reason why this rocks! It is just, SO SIMPLE to get things to work with Apple. I think they’re geniuses not for the features they have (because c’mon, even I as an Apple fan would admit some are pretty damn late to launch) but because when they do launch these features, they. just. work. Plug, 2 clicks and I’m online! Woohoo!
The only drawback is when the crap 3G reception gets to me. But other than that… *happy beam*
I’d wanted to spend my entire day resting in bed, lounging in air-conditioned bliss curled up with one of the three new chick lit books I got when in Malaysia (thanks Pinkie!) but I ended up online the entire day, catching up on everything I’d missed over the past 4 days. Sheesh.
Alright, it’s off to look for some form of dinner now that I am done gushing (on my blog, anyway). This post was brought to you via bluetooth tethering. *happy sigh* -
Friday, June 12th 2009 @ 9:27 pmcategorised: Daffodil Fields!, I'M HUNGRY!!!, LOL, PinkPolarBear, The Family, arty farty party, giggly school girl!, retail therapy, snapshotsPinkie and I have the oddest conversations. Not complaining obviously, because I hate it when things around me get boring and normal.
Last night when I got home from congre meeting, I wanted to talk so I dropped him a text asking him if he was still playing his game. He replied and told me he’d stopped with Gunbound (YEA I KNOW RIGHT? Hahahaha but okay, he’s abit unreasonably good at it) but was now playing Winning Eleven, soccer game on his PS3:

HAHAHA he’s mad, I know I know. Hee
I was supposed to go out with Dawnie today to do last minute shopping for some stuff I need for Tioman, as well as get some errands done but that didn’t work out because of my screwed up sleeping pattern. Ugh.. I fell asleep at 3am last night, which is some sort of achievement because my insomnia has been stopping me from sleeping before 6am for the past few weeks. I remember feeling very satisfied just as I was falling asleep!
Sleep was not to be.
Somehow I woke up at 6am, and proceeded to stay awake for a couple of hours. Sighhh.. This sucks. Anyway, I fell back to sleep at 8 in the bloody morning, only to JUMP out of bed with a jolt at 1.44pm – I was supposed to meet Dawn at 12pm!!! Fortunately for me, she was running late after her haircut anyway, so we postponed everything til tomorrow.
Fell back to sleep and felt like shit because I kept waking up every hour until the sun was ermmm… not visible. WTH. Woke up feeling shitty so I dropped Pinkie a text.
My boyfriend thinks he is Batman. When we watch Big Bang Theory and dear Sheldon has some sort of Batman merchandise or other (Sheldon thinks he is Batman too!), Pinkie goes into a sulk, proclaiming that he is Batman. HAHA.

Hahaha. O yea, you know how I call him Pinkie? Yea well, he calls me Brownie.
Long story, so I’ll skip that. When we were at McDonald’s yesterday, this brought about a flurry of shrieks and mad evil laughter:

Hahaha! Madness. OH OH, GARLIC CHILLI IS BACKKKKK! But it tastes different from last time, looks different too. Oh well. Beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. I’ve had an overdose of MCD in the past few days, so I shall refrain unless it’s brekkie – that’s a different story altogether.
In case you’re interested, here’s my unfinished painting, left to collect dust at Michelle’s because I don’t know when I’m headed down to complete it.. =/

The flower’s incomplete, the background’s incomplete (because I’m not happy with the way it is) and the leaves are complete only because I say so. HAHA.
You know what’s tragic?? I absolutely can’t find 2 of my bikini bottoms. I have 3 tops and 1 bottom, and the new ones from VS aren’t arriving until when I get back from Tioman. *SULK* I want another beach holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My parents are out and I’m left with sorting out my dinner. Should I have bak zhang (microwaving) or pasta (cooking)? Such dilemmas I face daily… -

I finally got down to getting myself a pot of gel eyeliner to try out and see what the fuss is about! Tested a few brands at various counters and settled for Maybelline’s. Most gel eyeliners only come in black or brown, and I couldn’t find one that was in between. I can’t do jet black for my eyeliner because I end up looking scary – my poor MAC pencil liner has been sitting around feeling useless.
I never did like liquid eyeliners because I couldn’t control it. Also didn’t quite like the look of it. When I heard about the gel eyeliners, I figured I’d give it a go.
Settled for Maybelline’s liner in black because it wasn’t as dark as the other brands, which I liked. I know a lot of people don’t like that though. They also have it in a brown that’s really quite nice, nicer than the other browns I’ve seen so far.
I just tried applying it for fun, and my verdict? It’s INSANELY easy to apply! The liner just glides on smoothly, and it’s really easy to control with the brush. I just used the free brush that came with the Maybelline one, and it works fine. I was surprised when I first applied it on my eyes actually – feels very different from liquid application. It also looks a little more natural than liquid liners.
My eyes are usually lined with pencil – Anna Sui’s in brown, mixed with Shu Uemura in gray. I only line the lower lid, which is again, different from almost everyone I know. I don’t line the top usually because despite having single eyelids, my top lid is stupidly “deep set” so you can’t see the liner anyway.
Although I adore the application of the gel eyeliner, I doubt I’ll be going out of the house in it anytime soon. Not until I get enough practice anyway. I’m totally not used to the way it looks and the effect it achieves. Very happy with my purchase today though! Yay! I think I will head back and get the brown pot too!
Now, I really should get some sleep. Can you believe this – I’m actually sleepy!! At 330am! That’s a whole 3 hours earlier than what’s been the norm this past week! Haha. I had a great day, and I’m looking forward to another awesome day tomorrow! I’ll be meeting my ex-colleagues from Spoon and going to have brunch!!!!!!! *bounces around*
On that note, I couldn’t get a dress I tried on today because of the weight I put on. Totally unflattering in the pretty dress. *sigh* HOW IS THIS FUNNY??? My boyfriend couldn’t stop laughing when I told him about this! Pftttt!! -
I do.

Look at him. Just look at him.
Those eyes, with the rose (even though I don’t like roses), and the deal-sealing bow tie.
I’d say Yes to him in a heartbeat. -
Friday, May 8th 2009 @ 5:20 pmcategorised: Rant!, giggly school girl!, veedeeohsI always had a soft spot for guys with nice voices, voices that make me melt. What I never expected was to be wow-ed by Michael Jackson’s Black and White!

Never followed American Idol after the Clay Aiken season, so I never heard Adam Lambert sing despite the vague fanfare I sensed until Charmaine started playing videos today in the office.
Take a listen to this video! It’s awesomeeee. It makes me happy yay yay yay!
Gushing aside, it’s no surprise that I hate Singtel and their supposedly wonderful coverage all around Singapore because the reception at my house sucks. It annoys me greatly because I’m usually on the phone with Pinkie, who is in London. When I call him with IDD, it’s 30 cents a minute on top of local charges so NO, I DON’T APPRECIATE NOT BEING ABLE TO HEAR HIM AND VICE VERSA, nor do I appreciate dropped calls. When it works, I’d gladly part with my money for these IDD calls (because it’s clearer than the cheaper alternative of him calling me with Skype)..
What completely annoys me is when it doesn’t work like it should! Finally got round to politely (as much as I could anyway) informing Singtel of this issue, amidst others. Also wanted to know how come I haven’t seen the 50% off my subscription that was promised me as part of a promotion when I signed up for my line last year. I was supposed to get that offer for 3 months – 3rd, 6th and 9th if I am not wrong.
Took ages and multiple calls from Singtel to get it all sorted. They first offered me 3 months free caller ID, which is bullshit beccause that’s all of $15 and doesn’t even begin to compensate the wasted amount of money I spend on my phonebills each month.
After that they offered to waive my 1 minute IDD calls that I’ve made so far this month. WHAAAT? Sheesh.
On and on, and then I got a final call back which managed to appease me enough to not want to terminate my line and switch back to Starhub. Hee hee.
Rather good offer at the right time – just as I was thinking of marching down to the ComCenter once I have time the week after. Guess what they offered me! HEE HEE HEE

Wednesday, April 29th 2009 @ 1:19 pmcategorised: giggly school girl!, veedeeohsThis guy arranged Taylor Swift’s Love Story and Coldplay’s Viva La Vida together, and it’s amazing with a piano and cello! Aww man. I love string instruments.

Friday, April 3rd 2009 @ 3:29 amcategorised: giggly school girl!, veedeeohsYou all know that it takes a lot for me to watch videos online, because I just don’t like it. So when someone completely takes my breath away, you’d hear.. cos here he is.
He’s Sungha Jung, a korean boy. I think he’s 12 or 13 this year. And what better way to win my heart than to play one of my absolute favourite instruments – the acoustic guitar? (Not screeching away to English songs, okay)
Richard Marx’s Right Here Waiting
Extreme’s More Than Words
The one that swept me off my feet – Sungha Jung playing “Canon” with the composer himself, Trace Bundy
ZOMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG. *melts*
I don’t know much about guitar playing, but this kid is really amazing. Go search for his other videos – there are tons, and he has mastered a wide range of songs! I will sleep happy tonight. Hehe. -

Friday, March 20th 2009 @ 1:54 pmcategorised: LOL, giggly school girl!Out of the 10 dresses I brought back, I’ve 2 favourites. They’re semi-formal, and I. Am. Dying. To. Wear. Them. Out.
I’d need an occasion to wear them out, but that requires money.
Or a date.
BOTH OF WHICH I DON’T HAVE!
And herein lies the sole purpose of this post…
WHO WANTS TO DATE ME OUT TO A NICE PLACE FOR DINNER??*
* Terms and conditions apply… i/e all expenses paid. and i must actually want to hang out with you. HAHAHAHAHAHA. -
Saturday, March 7th 2009 @ 5:14 pmcategorised: Daffodil Fields!, PinkPolarBear, carousel, giggly school girl!, snapshotsI was browsing through Autumn (my affectionately named Macbook if you don’t already know) and sorting out my files and photos into proper folders (like finally)!
There were old pictures that I haven’t looked at in ages.. and then the somewhat newer ones that I also haven’t given much thought to in awhile.
And then I came across something that made me smile and cheered my gloomy day up! =)

Heeeee!
So cute – 2 of my favourites: Pinkie and original flavoured Yakult! Hehe.
(Please don’t kill me for posting this!!! It really did make me smile on such a super gloomy day so I just wanted to share it and make you smile too! Ahaha!)
Really makes me feel like squishing the pink bear! Yay!

And y’know who else is incredibly insanely immensely cuuute??

A CUTE BEAR IN SPECS!!!!!!!!!*melts* I have a HUUUUGE soft spot for guys in specs! And then Pinkie went to put his specs on Skip! Of course I proceeded to squirm and melt 27 times over! Hee.
I can’t believe that I miss plush toys this much. That’s not righhhhttttt.(please ignore the lil green girl in the corner)
