ANYWAYS!

As part of one of the projects we were doing for school, we got Daniel’s lil 3 year old cousin and his older brother to come by and be models for some photos.

And yes, I harboured intentions of kidnapping him the moment Daniel showed us photos of Luca the day before we met him. I suppose that could be why his dad came along for the shoot… dang!

My first black and white photo for Project 52 so far, partly because i adore black and white photographs and mostly because I couldn’t get the colour right for it. Haha!

I just have to end off by saying…. THIS SHOT WAS TAKEN WITH MY KIT LENS. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

The disappointment from first looking forward very much to something and then having it snatched away from beneath your nose before you get to enjoy it is just… cruel.

That said, why is my favourite month of the year quickly becoming more and more depressing every year?

Maybe this is why people dislike celebrating their birthdays more and more as they grow older.

Is this part of growing up? Then I want no part in it.

Can I just say that the weekend that just passed was hellish? Pftt. Spent it shooting for D&AD, and rushing 2 major projects for submission today, and one for tomorrow.

I know my Project 52 photo for last week is late.. I’m getting to it! *sulk*

Friday feels like it was reaaallly long ago despite being just 3 days ago. I can’t remember much from it, except that Daniel, Yiboon and myself went abit mad after making giant ice creams. Haha.

Saturday existed from 7am – 9am. The. Next. Morning.

Seriously. Longest day I have had in AGES. Also horrible because I was going nuts getting work done, slowly because I didn’t want to make mistakes and have to redo stuff. Meh.

Dragged myself out of the house for my favourite annual Chinese New Year dinner on Sunday despite not having completed the work because I think if I had stayed home, I would have gone crazy. Hahaha. Dinner was awesome.. so yummy! Mmmm.

I was sitting around after dinner and my grandmother (whom I don’t really like, hahaha) was on the sofa next to me. She turned to me and asked for my name. I told her (after shrieking it a few times cos she couldn’t hear) and she proceeded to inform me that her granddaughter has the same name as me. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Spray painting my skateboard drove me nuts. Well, not the spray painting part itself because that was the fun part. It was the making of the stencils and pinning it down that drove me up the wall. Meh.

Went to catch Valentine’s Day with Boon and Yiyang today after class.. Not bad. It was quite nice. I still prefer Love Actually though.. but maybe because it left me with mixed feelings.

What do you think about marrying your best friend? Or rather, should your spouse be your best friend too?
Heart still breaks thinking about it. Ha. Sigh. Oh well..

Oh and birthday weekend, with so few people around who I’d wanna spend it with. Why is everyone out of the country… damnit. Sucks!

Sorry the photo for the 6th photo is late by a couple of days! It’s been a craaaazy weekend, what with the shitload of work we have to complete as well as Chinese New Year of course.

Although my family typically doesn’t do as much visiting doing Chinese New Year as most people I know, it still took up a couple of days over the extended weekend we had. I tried to find time in between to get work done, and thus totally didn’t have the time or energy to head out to shoot.

All weekend, I’ve been caught up in making gigantic ice cream scoops and cones, cutting and spraying and going a little insane. And oh, saying hi to relatives and collecting ang baos, and being particulary stunned and overwhelmed (and very very pleasantly surprised) by my visit to Pinkie’s mum. Haha.

And this… is typically what I face when I am stuck at home, at the dining table getting work done…

Haha, sadly enough, that has been my world view for awhile now. It is my cutting mat, and I just placed a bright bowl of happy paper clips on it to make me happier. Which reminds me, I need to buy more happy paper clips…

It’s back to school tomorrow, for the extended weekend ends today.

My birthday is in a little over a week, and………… I don’t feel like doing anything, mostly because most of the people I would want to spend it with won’t be in this damned country. Bah.

That, and that everything I want to do involves money which I do not have. And no, I am not going to use my ang bao money because that goes towards London Fund. MEH.

(Basically, all I wanna do is sit around in a nice air-conditioned place and BE PAMPERED… which then equates to a nice pedicure at the place I like at Holland V, followed by a nice dinner at Da Paolo’s.. *sulk*)

Love is when you’re so incredibly tired, frustrated and annoyed with a stupid piece of work and the smelliest loveliest bear of them all takes out his digital camera (something rare for this bear) and take a photo of Skip and Belly and Potatoe, uploads it and sends it to you saying that Skip and Belly and Potatoe said they haven’t seen me in a very long time so they asked him to send me a photo of them.

I’ve come to realise that insincerity is shown and felt most vividly in actions, or lack thereof. It’s true, you know, that when push comes to shove, and when you need support you can truly see who is around and who chooses to fade away in the distance.

I know I sound like a stupid 15 year old bitching about how her friends aren’t there for her like they promised, but whatever.

“Being there” has lost its meaning when it escapes the lips of some people.

At least I know there are still some that I can count on.. I love the lot of you very, very much. Heh. Thank you for dropping messages and calls to check on me when I wasn’t doing okay. They’re really, really greatly appreciated.

You don’t need a quarrel for friendships to lose its meaning. Sometimes all you need is your world to come crashing down.

This photo was taken one day in school, whilst waiting for class to begin. He is insane and ridiculously funny. And also angsty and angry this semester because of the workload.. Hahaha!

We both love ABC chicken rice, and he is also king of the palace which serves the best Indian food around, as the photo below suggests…

OH MY GOD.

I finally finished redoing my stupid papercut poster thing for school because the first time I did it, it wasn’t cut very well..

AND THEN…. A PIECE OF MASKING TAPE RIPPED IT.

ARGH WHAT THE HELL LA. I am so pissed.

Hours of work wasted, and now I have to redo with time supposed to be spent on other pieces of work.

Is this that hard to understand?!?!?!?! I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be upset over this, seeing as how it JUST happened. Whatever.

No patience to deal with everything else. ARGH.

Also, I slipped and fell at home today because the floor was wet, and now the ankle which I’d sprained badly before still hurts and feels wonky.

That was right after my mum MADE A FACE when I told her about my new upcoming project at school. I only told her because I was excited about it. THANKS MUM.

Sometimes I really don’t know why I bother with so many people and things in my life. ARGH. Days like this I just want to sit in my own corner of the world and not bother with anyone.
